Alterations and improvements to University premises, including complete new roof coverings, external repairs and decorations, extensive alterations to accomodate DDA requirements, construction of new lift shaft and pit, plus M&E and fire control upgrading.

Renewed roof covering, new air-conditioning and new lift shaft

Works included:
 
New polymer ashphalt roof coverings to in excess of 400 square meters
New leadwork to dormers, mansard roofs and parapet cladding 
Cleaning to brick and stoneworks plus stone repairs and re-pointing
Repairs to existing crittall and timber windows
External decorations to all windows and previously painted ironworks
Excavation and underpinning to form new base and pit for new lift shaft
Construction of new lift shaft and installation of Kone motor driven lift
Upgrade to fire alarm system and installation of lift fire control
Enlargement of cabin to existing lift and upgrade for disability use
Alterations to doorways and fitting new fire doors to comply with DDA
Formation and adaptations of ramps and installation of handrails
Upgrading of air conditioning systems to selected areas
Upgrading and adaptation of toilet facilities
Installation of disabled alarm system to WCs
Installation of lightning conductor system
New suspended ceilings
Basement slurry tanking
